In working on Gears 5's Escape mode we created a new tileset, Barracks, which is situated in an under construction COG bunker before it was attacked by UIR, then left abandoned. The images shown here are on tiles where I was the sole Environment Artist, taking the tile from blockout to final product following the art direction provided. Mike Isaakidis provided some assets to assist the tile set, the trash chute and some architectural elements, which are visible here, and Ibrahim Wahab was responsible for a first pass on one of the corner tiles shown.
I was supported by lighting by Maria Yue/Nick Slaney/Derek Patterson, VFX from Sergi Salvador, Katie Malan and Raul Calderon, art direction by Nikolay Georgiev and Ben Cottage, all under the watchful eye of our partners at The Coalition.
